Contract: Formation of the New Customers Operations Centre and Breakout Zone

This was a highly prestigious project for a new client, the finished scheme is a real tribute to all the teams involved with the project, the positive collaborative working approach resulted in a quality working environment. The main difficulties encountered in transforming the existing storage space, the staff rest and canteen areas as well as toilet facilities was the building had to remain fully operational throughout. As the main operation of the building is a call centre the level of noise was critical. The project was carried out over four phases with very close liaison between all parties to ensure the facility could operate.

The scheme involved the formation of a new Customer Operations centre on the first floor which incorporated a large amount of demolition work, relocation of a main server room, installation of a mezzanine level accessed via a spiral staircase providing access to glazed meeting rooms and offices. The new area included a smart lighting system as well as the space having the benefit of an interior designers touch to enhance the whole work space which is fully air-conditioned.

The former rest room located on the ground floor was significantly enlarged and fully refurbished to provide a bright, light and welcoming space in which to enjoy your breaks, the toilets and showers were given an extensive make over incorporating new integrated toilet cubicles and back panelling, fresh tiling, lighting, ventilation and flooring.

Finally but by no means least a new platform lift was installed within the main open plan reception area.

All this work had to be very carefully managed whilst being carried out to very tight timescales and budget.
